Would I get banned?

I know there has been hackers going around, joining people’s clubs, maxing them out and leaving. If this were to happen to my club, could I get banned if I were to claim the rewards? Has any one been banned for claiming rewards from hacked gear? Or would it be safe to claim the gear if it were to theoretically happen? Thanks
