Instagram hacked but I don’t understand how

I got an email that my account was changed from private to public. Still had access to my account and when I checked a minute after, I saw a mass DM spam to everyone I follow for mr.beast giveaway and a bunch of random accounts have followed me.I have two factor and email login notifications enabled. I suspect it’s a session hijack but when I checked currently logged in accounts, it only had my phone on there.Just changed password and then temporarily disabled account after.Anyone got an idea on what could’ve happened?
