Someone I know said their Firefox sounded a loud ringing sound and would not let them continue, saying they had a security problem. I've seen a lot of these issues, where someone clicks a hacked link But then someone called THEM on their cell phone with an accent, telling them they were from Apple security. The person obviously was bogus, so my friend hung up, and rebooted and changed passwords. How the heck would clicking on a link, alert the scammer, and for the scammer to know their cell phone number? Thanks.
