Geoblocking risks and airdrop blocks for U.S. Defi Users

Geoblocking risks and airdrop blocks for U.S. Defi Users
The U.S. is rapidly being blocked from many DeFi protocols. I have two questions from perspective of hypothetical U.S. user with VPN setup.Introduction of VPN blocks: Some protocols have started blocking both U.S. access and VPN access (e.g., Bonfida). What are options if a user already has capital in the protocol and then they are blocked from accessing VPN? Are there other workarounds to withdraw funds? Do they have to travel to another country to get their money back?Airdrop blocks: U.S. users were blocked from getting the extremely valuable dYdX airdrop recently. There are a ton of other examples of U.S. people being excluded from airdrops. How was this implemented? Is there any way around these restrictions?I get protocols are trying to be safe legally but DeFi rules are very discouraging. What is the point of DeFi if you are prohibiting participation from the largest crypto markets by capital and users? Not like SEC is gonna give you a break regardless of your disclaimer.
